Julius Jones’ attorneys recordsdata emergency injunction, hours earlier than scheduled execution

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Attorneys representing Julius Jones have filed an emergency injunction based on additional, new information from John Grant’s execution last month.

Grant vomited during the execution process.

In the court document, Jones’ attorneys say they filed the injunction because Gov. Stitt has not yet made a decision on offering clemency to Jones. The Oklahoma Parole and Pardon Board has recommended clemency for Jones.

Jones is scheduled to be executed this afternoon at 4 p.m.
